PARADOXES OF JESUS  [3]

          Jesus became flesh that we might become spirit, “and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us …” (John 1:14).  In speaking of the mystery of the resurrection, Paul writes, “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body” (1 Corinthians 15:44).  So, as Jesus became flesh, the followers of Jesus can become spirit, the only way a body can be in heaven, for flesh and blood cannot so inherit (1 Corinthians 15:52).  (more next week)
