FREEDOM IS NOT FREE [3]

To be free in Christ is the greatest freedom one may possess. Salvation is a gift, but it must be received to be of any benefit to us. To be free from sin, one must believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God (John 8:24); repent or turn away from sin (Acts 17:30); confess that Jesus is God’s Son (Acts 8:37); and then be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16). God then bestows salvation upon the individual who will respond in this way. The person now begins a new life of freedom in Christ. [more next week]
