 TRUTH FOR TODAY

 WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?  [3]

          Simply, the gospel contains facts to believe, which we looked at last week.  Second, the gospel contains commands to be obeyed, such as: we must believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God (John 3:16); we must repent of our sins (Acts 2:38, 17:30-31); we must confess Jesus as God’s Son (Romans 10:9-10; Acts 8:37); we must be baptized for the remission of our sins (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38); and we must continue to live faithful lives (Revelation 2:10).   [more next week]
